Type EPC Protectowire consists of a durable flame retardant vinyl outer jacket; it is a multi-purpose wire for use in both commercial and industrial applications. EPC has low moisture absorption, excellent flexibility at low temperatures and provides resistance to a variety of chemicals. The EPR series is UV stabilized to improve weathering performance and contains an extruded flame retardant jacket of polypropylene elastomer. The type of linear heat detector is intended for industrial applications and is characterized by good abrasion resistance, high resiliency, and exceptional high temperature performance. EPR is recommended over EPC or EPN for better overall performance when higher ambient temperatures are present.
Type TRI linear heat detector can separate pre-alarm and alarm signals using a unique dual temperature detector. Once each activation temperatures is reached different signals can be sent to the control panel. This linear heat detector is built with a durable vinyl outer jacket which features excellent flexibility, flame retardant, low moisture absorption, resistance to many common chemicals.
Type XCR utilizes a high performance Fluoropolymer jacket that is suited for use in extreme environments. The flame retardant, low smoke XCR jacket provides excellent abrasion resistance and mechanical properties over a broad range of temperatures. XCR provides outstanding chemical and permeation resistance to a wide variety of acids, bases, and organic solvents, in addition to simple gases. upon outdoor exposure to sunlight and weather the jacket exhibits very little change in tensile properties.
Protectowire Type XLT is for use in cold storage facilities and other applications that require a low alarm activation temperature. This detector has been UL and FM tested to -60°F (-51°C). The outer jacket consists of a proprietary flame retardant polymer providing superior low temperature environmental performance, low moisture absorption, and good chemical resistance.
